Simon Reid is a Scottish songwriter, producer, mixing/mastering engineer, and session musician based in Nashville, TN. With over 18 years’ experience, he can help take your music to the next level. 

Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, Simon regularly collaborates with writers and artists across the world, both as a writer and producer. His portfolio of projects spans numerous genres including, Pop, Rock, Country, Urban, EDM, Classical, Jazz & Folk.

In addition to having a BA Honors degree in Popular Music from Edinburgh Napier University, Simon has produced a track for ABC Family’s ’10 Things I Hate About You’ (Season 1, Episode 8); co-written a song for The British Red Cross Appeal Week; met and performed for Barbara Orbison and the Orbison family during the launch of ‘Roy Orbison - Under The Covers’ in London (Simon produced an original version of ‘You’re The One’ with Louise Stanners); won 1st place in The Pacific Songwriting Competition (Pop/Ballad category); was awarded a place in the BBC Radio 2 Songwriters’ Academy; and performed live at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium.Recent Releases

Simon produced, played all instruments, mixed and mastered the track ‘All That Pretty Love’ for Atom & Breathe.

He created the instrumental tracks for Jordana Bryant’s ‘First Christmas In Love’ EP, produced by Seth Mosley and Zach Kale, released on Riser House Records.

Simon regularly produces music for the popular children’s music creator Bounce Patrol (including their recent collaboration with The Wiggles). Based in Melbourne, Australia, the group has over 27 million subscribers on YouTube. To date, Simon’s tracks have over 1 billion streams.

Simon co-wrote Hayley Orrantia’s current single ‘Open Your Mouth’ with Hayley and Kalie Shorr. Hayley was also runner up as ‘Ringmaster' in Season 7 of 'The Masked Singer’ (Fox).

He produced three remixes of multi-platinum and award-winning country artist Sara Evans’ single 'Marquee Sign', and also ‘If I Can’t Have You’, from her covers album Copy That.

Simon co-wrote the song ‘Angry Butterfly’ (with Kalie Shorr and Fred Wilhelm), which is the final track on Kalie’s critically acclaimed debut album ‘Open Book’. The New York Times named the album #7 on their ‘Best Albums Of 2019’ list, and Variety included the album on their list of ‘The Best Country Albums of 2019 … and of the Decade’.

Simon co-wrote the single ‘How The Car’s Running’ with The Voice Season 9 runner-up Emily Ann Roberts and Tiffany Goss, and also co-wrote and produced the single ‘Made For This’ with star of ABC’s The Goldbergs, Hayley Orrantia and Mark Bright.

Simon co-wrote Kalie Shorr’s single ‘My Voice’ (with Kalie Shorr and Fred Wilhelm), and also co-wrote and produced the single ‘Change My Tune’ by Emily Ann Roberts.
